Ms. Ina was first was introduced to Waldorf education 27 years ago, when she had been hired by Breitenbush Hot Springs to become the new Child Care provider in the community.  At that time she was trained first hand by a German Waldorf teacher on the basics of Waldorf education and how hold a small multi-aged class within the context of this method.  After Breitenbush, Ms. Ina went on to study Midwifery and worked at a Midwifery clinic in El Paso TX helping to assist mother’s in birth. She then relocated to Ashland Oregon to finish her University studies in the Arts and Spanish.

In her final year of her bachelor’s degree, Ms. Ina moved to Guanajuato Mexico to study ceramics, painting and Spanish; which, along with her own diverse background and other lifelong experiences, incited in her a desire to incorporate cultural awareness and art in her future work.  Ms. Ina proceeded to work with children through the years, working as an Assistant in public school ESL classrooms, and for the SOULS and LISTOS programs.  However, her memory of Waldorf always stayed in her heart, and as she moved further into the idea of becoming an educator, it became clear that she was meant to work with children as a Waldorf teacher.  Ms. Ina's belief in wanting to educate and nurture children through authenticity and love, became her guiding force.  She then moved to Eugene Oregon for two years to become a trained and certified Waldorf Teacher.

In addition to this training she also went through the Lifeways training as an enhancement to her education and how to support a wider age within one classroom.  Ms. Ina has now been teaching and leading her own Waldorf Preschool/Kindergarten programs for the past 15 years. She also continues to enhance her educational understand through annual professional development courses.

These experiences coupled with her multicultural background, heredity, time growing up in the South West and the strong Native American influence in her life have all largely supported the manifestation of the Little Earth Keepers.

Ms. Ina has been a Waldorf teacher for the past 15 years.  She has a bachelors degree from SOU, is a licensed teacher in the state of Oregon, and also received her Waldorf Early Childhood certification from the Eugene Waldorf school in 2009.  Besides being a Waldorf teacher, Ms. Ina has also worked in both a Montessori program and public school.  Ms. Ina has had the pleasure of enjoying running her own home based programs and also working as a kindergarten teacher at a Waldorf public charter school.  It is her endeavor to provide a program to children where they can safely engage in the natural world, while also enjoying the magic of song, rhythm, and routine.

All main lesson teachers will be trained and certified Waldorf educators, however, we will also be incorporating other educational and cultural modalities along with local educators from our valley to help in fostering a broader understanding of ourselves in the world for our times.
